Introducing the Business:
The Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust is a registered charitable organisation that produces arts and cultural projects including the Dunedin Fringe Festival, NZ Young Writers Festival, and Amped Music Project. The Dunedin Fringe Festival is an annual 10-day summer event with performance and exhibitions spanning all art forms including theatre, comedy, dance, visual arts and music. The 2018 festival runs 8-18 March. Artists from Dunedin, around New Zealand and overseas provide a diverse and dynamic range of between 40 and 70 events for the public to attend. The Fringe Festival engages a diverse cross-section of the community both in terms of participants and audience. The Fringe work environment is a fun and creative place where we work hard and support each other to create the best fringe festival Dunedin has ever seen!

Festival Publicist Intern
Dunedin Fringe Festival We require a Festival Publicist to coordinate the Dunedin Fringe Festival marketing plan and promote the exciting festival programme to Dunedin audiences. The role involves writing and distributing media releases and media packs, engaging media to interview, review and feature the festival and it’s performers, promote the festival online including through social media, write and coordinate email newsletters, coordinate the design and production of printed collateral such as posters and flyers. All work is done with the full support of the Fringe team including the Festival Director and Festival Administrator.
Graphic Designer Intern:
We are looking for someone to design basic publicity and marketing collateral such as posters, invitations and newsletters. The role also involves helping with the management of the festival branding, marketing materials and social media. When time allows, the candidate will also help out with event production and assist the festival director and the production manager. Basic design skills are required as well as a passion for Dunedin's arts and culture sector.
Volunteer Coordinator Intern:
We require a motivated people-person to co-ordinate the large team of volunteers for the Dunedin Fringe Festival. The candidate needs to have great attention to detail and able to work flexible hours. A strong ability to work with a variety of people of different ages and interests is a must. When time allows, the candidate will also help out with event production and office management.
